5분칼럼: 우리의 성전이신 예수그리스도
예수님께서는 어느 날 제자들에게 건축하는데 46년이나 걸렸던 성전을 보시면서 ‘너희가 이 성전을 허물라. 내가 사흘 만에 다시 세우리라(요 2장 19절)’ 고 말씀하셨습니다. 여기에서 예수님은 머지않아 십자가에서 죽으시고 부활하신 후에 주님이 친히 성전이 되실 것을 제자들에게 비유적으로 말씀하셨습니다.
모든 사람은 거처를 가지고 있습니다. 어떤 사람들은 다리 밑에 거처를 정하기도 하고, 지하철 근처에서 머물기도 합니다. 사람은 형편에 따라 거주하는 형태가 다르지만 공통점은 거처를 가지고 있다는 점입니다. 하나님도 거처하실 장소가 필요하십니다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 유일하게 사람들과 끊임없이 교통하기를 원하시기 때문입니다. 하나님이 사람을 만나주시는 장소요 사람이 하나님을 만날 수 있는 장소가 바로 성전입니다. 따라서 누구든지 사람이 성전에 머물 때는 하나님의 임재를 경험하게 됩니다.
하나님께서 이스라엘의 지도자 모세를 부르시어 성막을 짓도록 명령하셨습니다. 그런데 모세는 어떻게 성막을 짓게 되었습니까? 누구든지 집을 짓기 위해서는 먼저 그 집의 설계도를 그려야 하지 않겠습니까? 누가 성막에 대한 설계도를 그렸습니까? 모세 자신이었습니까? 아니면 아론 제사장? 누가 성막의 설계자였습니까? 출애굽기 25장 9절은 이렇게 기록하고 있습니다. “무릇 내가 네게 보이는 대로 장막의 식양과 그 기구의 식양을 따라 지을 지어다.” 26장 30절에도 ‘너는 산에서 보인 식양대로 성막을 세울지니라’고 재차 강조하고 있습니다.
하나님께서 친히 장막과 그 안에 필요한 모든 기구에 대해서 모세에게 보여주시면서 본 그대로 지으라고 말씀하셨습니다. 모세는 이상을 통해 성막에 대한 하나님의 설계를 보았고 그대로 만들었습니다. 하나님이 모세에게 지으라고 보여주셨던 성막의 형태가 매우 의미가 있습니다. 마치 우주가 지하와 지상과 하늘이라는 3차원적으로 이루어졌듯이 사람의 구조가 영과 혼과 몸으로 구성되었듯이 성막도 뜰과 성소와 지성소로 구성되어 있습니다.
사람의 눈에 보이는 몸은 성막 뜰에 해당되고, 혼은 성소에, 그리고 하나님을 만나고 하나님과 교통하는 영은 성막의 지성소에 해당됩니다. 하나님이 지으신 피조물 중에 유일하게 사람만 영을 가지고 있어서 창조주 하나님과 교통하고 하나님을 섬기고 경배할 수 있는 것입니다. ‘여호와 곧 하늘을 펴시며 땅의 터를 세우시며 사람 안에 영을 지으신 하나님이십니다(스가랴 12:2).’
오늘날 누구든지 주 예수 그리스도를 믿고 영접하여 구원받은 사람은 그리스도의 영이신 성령께서 그 사람의 영 안으로 들어오시어 연합된 영을 갖게 되므로 그리스도인의 몸은 성령 하나님이 거처하시는 성전이 되는 것입니다. 고전 3장 16절에 너희 몸이 하나님의 영이 거처하시는 하나님의 성전인 것을 알라고 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.
우리의 몸은 예수 그리스도께서 피 값으로 사신 하나님의 것이요, 하나님이 거처하시는 성전이 된 것입니다. 하나님의 성전이 구약 시대에는 성막처럼 몸 바깥에 있었지만 예수님이 우리를 위하여 죽으시고 부활 승천하신 후 다시 오시어 성령을 부어주신 이후에는 하나님의 성전이 우리 몸 안으로 들어와서 우리의 몸이 하나님이 거처하시는 성전이 된 것입니다. 따라서 그리스도인의 몸은 걸어 다니는 하나님의 성전이므로 언제 어디에서나 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 찬양하고 기도하고 예배하면서 하나님을 기쁘게 해드리고 영광 돌릴 수 있게 됩니다. “종은 영원히 집에 거하지 못하되 아들은 영원히 거하는 것처럼(요8:35), 하나님의 자녀들은 다윗이 고백한 대로 하나님과 영원히 함께 살게 됩니다(시23:6).”
오늘날 많은 사람들이 창조주 하나님 외에 다른 피조물들에게 절을 하고 경배합니다. 이는 우상숭배입니다. 하나님이 지으신 피조물을 신격화해서 경배하는 행위는 하나님이 미워하시는, detest 우상숭배입니다. 사람들이 제사를 하는데 이것은 귀신에게 하는 것이요 귀신과 교제하는 행위요 마귀에게 절하는 행위입니다(고전 10:20, 민수기 18장 21절). ‘사람들이 어리석어서 썩어지지 아니하는 하나님의 영광을 썩어질 사람과 금수와 버러지 형상의 우상으로 바꾸어놨습니다(롬 1:23),‘ 피조물을 조물주보다 더 경배하고 섬기고 있습니다(롬 1:25).
오직 창조주 하나님 한 분만 우리의 기도와 찬양과 예배를 받으시기에 합당하신 하나님이십니다. ’만일 누구든지 주를 사랑하지 아니하거든 저주를 받을 지어다. 주께서 임하시느니라.‘(고전 16:22). 지금은 우리의 구주이신 주 예수님, 하나님을 만날 수 있는 때입니다. 아멘.

Title : Jesus Christ as the temple
One day Jesus said to his disciples, destroy this temple and I will build it up again in three days. People worked 46 years to build this temple. Do you really believe you can raise it again in three days? But the temple Jesus meant was his own body(John 2:19-21). Here Jesus said figuratively as a parable about that after Jesus was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said this.
Everybody has a dwelling place. some habitants are living under the bridge, some are abiding beside the subway. Although people have different dwelling place according to their conditions or circumstances, commonly all have living place.
Our God also needs indwelling place. Because God wants constantly to communicate with people. The temple is the very place for us to meet God and have fellowship with him.
Accordingly whoever stays in the temple, he can experience the presence of God. God called Moses and commanded him to build up the tabernacle in the wilderness. By the way how did Moses build up the tabernacle? Whoever wants to build up the house, he needs architecture of the house before he builds it up.
Who made the architecture of the tabernacle? Who was the architecture of the tabernacle? God himself did it. In Exodus 25:9, God said to his servant Moses, Make this tabernacle and all its furnishing exactly like the pattern I will show you. In Exo.26:30, repeatedly God said to him, set up the tabernacle according to the plan shown you on the mountain.
When Moses stayed and prayed to God for forty days with fasting, he looked at the architecture of tabernacle through vision. I want to take another example about the vision as one of God's three ways of revelations. Who built up the 3rd big boat? Noah. How did he build up the 3rd floor big boat, Ark? He built it up like Moses, according to the very vision that God shown him. God said to Noah, make yourself an Ark of cypress wood, make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it(Genesis 6:14-15).
The tabernacle that Moses made is like the structure of man. As the tabernacle consists of three parts, places, that is, the Yard, the Holy place, the Most holy place, the structure of man consists of three part, three elements, that is, body, soul and spirit(1Thess.5:23).
As the universe consists of underground, earth and sky like 3rd dimension, man and temple also consist of 3rd dimension parts. Man consists of body, soul and spirit. Temple consists of the yard, the holy place and the most holy place.
The body of man is related to the yard, the soul is related to the holy place, and the spirit is related to the most holy place. Among the creations that God created, only man has spirit. Therefore only man can worship God Creator and experience His presence and have intimacy with God.
“The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him(Zechariah12:1)." "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?(1Cor.3:16)." Today when man believe and accept Jesus Christ as his saviour and the Son of God, the Spirit of God enters into his spirit, and they become oneness in mingled spirit. So he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit(1Cor.6:17).
We are organically united with Christ and Christ dwells in our spirit(2Tim4:22) and makes His home in our heart(Eph.3:17), our entire being, including our purified body, becomes a member of Him. Our spirit has been regenerated by the Spirit of God(John3:16), who is now in us and is one with our spirit.
You should know that you yourselves are God's temple(1Cor.3:16). God's Spirit lives in you. If any person destroys God's temple, then God will destroy that person. Why? Because God's temple is holy. You yourselves are God's temple(1Cor.3:16-17).
A slave can not stay with a family forever. But a son belongs to the family forever(John 8:35). The goodness and mercy of the Lord shall follow me all the time, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever(Psalm23:6).
Although they knew God, they neither glorifies him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. They became fools. They gave up the glory of God who lives forever.
People changed that glory for the worship of idols made to look like earthly people. People changed immortal God's glory for images made to look like mortal man, birds, animals, and reptiles, snakes(Romans1:22-23). People were full of sin, wanting only to do evil things. So God left them and let them go their sinful way... Those people traded the truth of God for a lie.
Those people worshiped and served things, creatures that were made. But people did not worship and serve the God who made those things. God should be praised forever(Romans 1:25).
When food is sacrificed to idols, it is an offering to demons, not to God. I don't want you to share anything with demons(1Cor.10:20). If anybody does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed and be separated from God, lost forever. O Lord come! (1Cor.16:22). Now it's the time to meet God our saviour Lord, Jesus Christ and be saved and receive the grace of God. Amen!
