Title : Jesus as our tree of life
In this universe as there is one sun and moon, there is only one creator, maker of all, God. It's really not important if there are things called gods, in heaven or on earth. And there are many things that people call "gods" and "lords". But for us there is only one God. He is our Father.
All things came from him and we live for him. And there is only one Lord. He is Jesus Christ. All things were made through Jesus and we also have life through him(1Cor. 8:5-6).
Also there is only one saviour who saves us from sins, curse, death. O, Lord Almighty, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth(Isaiah 37:16).
In the beginning when God created the creations, He made all by his mighty word, then finally He made man in his own image and likeness(Gen1:27). Among all the creations, man is only a masterpiece of God. Among all the creatures, only man has God's nature, that is, Divine nature, DNA.
Therefore all of us may participate in the divine nature(2Peter 1:4). We are merely creatures to be made for the glory of God, Creator. Everyone who is called by name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made(Isa.43:7).
I, even I, am the LORD, apart from me there is no saviour(Isa.43:11). I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King(Isa.43:15).
A tree of life that was in the middle of the garden is a prototype, example, copy, shadow and symbol of Jesus, second Adam who has eternal life. As a tree of life had life, Jesus is God who has life, eternal life. Accordingly today whoever has Jesus has life, everlasting life(1John 5:12). God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life(1John 1:11-12).
Jesus said that I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me(John 14:6). Who has said that I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die(John 11:25-26)? Who can say in this way except through Jesus, God? Jesus said, I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, no one can snatch them out of my hand(John 10:28).
In John 15, Jesus said, I am the true vine. you are the branches. Apart from me you can do nothing. Jesus is a provider of life and true life. Accordingly whoever is in Jesus Christ has new and everlasting life. Apart from Jesus, although he is alive, he is dead and he is like a walking dead.
Our Lord Jesus is the bread of life and the living bread that came down from heaven(John 6:48.51). Therefore Jesus is our only Life. Jesus entered into the world as our living food. In John 8: 42 Jesus said, I have not come on my own, but God he sent me.
The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven(1Cor. 15:47). The first man Adam became a living being, the last Adam, Jesus is a life-giving Spirit(1Cor.15:45).
As everybody, everyday needs daily food, everybody, above all, needs Jesus because only Jesus is our real food and he can give us true and everlasting life as all of us are sinners before God. Jesus said, my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Therefore we can eat and drink Jesus as our daily bread, food metabolically, in metabolical method.
What we eat today determines what we are tomorrow. Whoever eats and drinks Jesus belongs to Jesus. Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil instead the fruit of the tree of life. They had chosen not the life, but the death. The tree of life that disappeared in the Garden appears and recovers in Revelation chapter 22:1-2. Lost garden appears as the blessed paradise again here.
This is the everlasting dwelling place of the saints in the Lord Jesus Christ and the New Jerusalem. As David confessed in Psalm 23, “I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER." New Jerusalem is the eternal dwelling place of all the children of God. Amen.
